Measuring
windows for your blinds is EASY!
Just follow the simple
instructions below
You will need:
- A
tape measure - metal ones work best
- A
piece of paper and a pencil
To complete your order we will
need:
- The
required WIDTH in millimetres of your blind
- The
required DROP in millimetres of your blind
- The
TYPE of MEASUREMENT you have taken - RECESS or FACE
- (see
below for an explanation of these types)
HINTS:
- Take
all your measurements in millimetres (mm) and measure to the nearest 1mm.
- Look
out for window handles, locks and tiles that reduce the measurements you take.
You don't want your blinds to touch or catch on any of these items.
RECESS or FACE?
On ALL orders, you will be asked
to specify where the blind is to be fitted.
Recess
This is the measurement required
if the blind is to fit within the window recess. We will make your blind to fit
the recess. You do not need to make any adjustments to the measurements you take
we will automatically take off a deduction.
Face
This is the measurement required
if you want your blind to hang outside of the window recess i.e. mounting on the
architrave. We will make your blind to the exact measurements you specify on
your order.
FACE
RECESSED

Taking measurements for a RECESS fitting
blind:
- Measure
the width inside of frame or reveal, left to right in 3 different locations as
shown in the diagram on the right. Make a note of the SHORTEST
measurement.
- Measure
the drop of the window in 3 different locations as shown in the diagram on the
right. Again make a note the SHORTEST measurement.
- Don't
forget to tell us that this is a RECESS measurement!
