Extendable Awnings (Folding Arm Awnings)

Extendable Awnings (Folding Arm Awnings) Extend your outdoor living area. This awning is mounted directly onto your wall or under the eve; special brackets have been designed by Sunwise Blinds to accommodate this mounting. The awning consists of a square back bar which sits within the brackets already mounted, and the roller/cloth and arms are attached to this bar.
An optional weather box is also available.
It is recommended that variable pitch arms are purchased over fixed arms as they allow greater adjustment in both vertical and horizontal pitch. The awning can then be extended or retracted by either a manual crank drive, or motorized - either way the awning can be fully extended or only partially extended. This awning can be up to 18 metres wide with up to 3.6 metres projection.
Wind and sun sensors are also available.

Fixing
To cavity brick wall: depending on brick type an anchor plate 10mm x 200mm x 200mm may be required, to spread the load over 2 or more bricks. Bolted with 4xm12 masonry anchors.
To concrete member: Bolted direct to wall with 3 x m12 masonry anchors as per requirements.
To Roof member through fascia: This requires a special bracket which follows the roof rafters and is bolted through rafter with m10 coach bolts. Awning brackets are then bolted to this bracket for a strong neat look.
Under Eaves: This is preferred as special brackets are hidden above fibro eave leaving only the ceiling fix bracket visible
